Search Trends & Opportunities For Hospitality Marketing During The COVID-19 Pandemic
With recent changes to the hospitality industry due to COVID-19, we’ve been busy researching trends and exploring opportunities that have come from the recent changes and we want to share some insights with you that might inspire ideas for your hospitality marketing strategy.
Last Minute Weddings
We’ve noticed a surge in demand of people searching for “Last Minute Wedding Venues”. The chart below outlines the growth in demand for last minute weddings:
Long Lead Weddings
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Australia, demand for weddings has increased, as the blow chart shows. We’re still seeing plenty of long lead wedding enquiries coming through for late 2020 and into 2021 which is very encouraging.
Despite the unsettling times, we’ve seen a strong increase in the demand for Christmas parties. This is mainly due to corporates searching for venues while working from home.
In even better news, the demand for birthday party venues has skyrocketed. The chart below outlines this growth. We’re seeing plenty of strong leads coming through as well as a mixture of short lead and long lead for 30ths, 40ths and 50ths.
The number of people searching for bars and places to drink is growing. This is something to consider implementing, particularly while venues are still allowed to trade.
Another search term that has skyrocketed during this time is Beer and Alcohol delivery. We believe this can be extremely effective for applicable venues. Happy to talk about the logistics of this with you.
Last Minute Holiday Packages
This concept is working really well in terms of driving bookings from local audiences across our campaigns for accommodation providers and luxury resorts.
What’s most important during this time is for venues to be nimble and adapt where possible. We are here to assist you and facilitate any thoughts/ideas you may have, and we want to help in any way we can to get you through this period.
