Event Enquiry Manager
This role puts you in the world of hospitality — the venues, the events, the food and wine — without the late nights, the weekends or the chaos of event day.
You’ll work with some of Australia’s leading function venues and wedding spaces, talking to people at the start of their journey and handing them off warm. The best part of the industry, without the burnout.
The role
You’ll manage enquiry response across a portfolio of premium hospitality venues around Australia, calling inbound leads quickly, running discovery conversations, and making sure every warm prospect is handed to the venue team ready to close.
No weekends. No event days. No bump-ins. Once the lead is qualified and warm, it’s the venue’s job to take it across the line. Yours is the conversation that gets them there.
Day to day:
- Calling inbound enquiries within agreed response windows
- Conducting discovery conversations and respond to ongoing communication to qualify and warm leads
- Managing email and SMS follow-up sequences for non-responses
- Keeping CRM pipelines accurate and up to date across multiple venue clients
- Handing qualified leads to venue sales teams with full context
- Help out with other areas of the business including hotel and accommodation enquiries, guest messages, and key contractors and stakeholders
- Working closely with the Merge team on approach, scripts and sequence optimisation
Who you are
You’ve come from hospitality, functions, venue sales or events and the part you were best at was the conversation. Reading what someone actually needs. Making them feel like their event matters.
You’re organised, you don’t need to be managed, and you’re comfortable owning a pipeline across multiple clients at once.
You’ll be a strong fit if you have:
- 2+ years in hospitality sales, functions or events
- Genuine confidence on the phone, this is the core of the role
- The ability to manage your own workload across a varied client portfolio
- Sharp attention to detail with CRM and follow-up discipline
- A calm, professional manner that reflects well on the venues you represent

- Location: Brisbane CBD office with flexibility to work from home
- Hours: Monday to Friday, no weekends, no on-site event work
- Clients: A portfolio of quality hospitality venues across Australia
