The generation of stars – Generation Y - are notoriously known for their “star” attributes. They don’t just dream big, they ACT big. They have an unwavering confidence that stands out when compared with the generations before them. There is simply nothing that can stand in their way if they want to succeed at something.
As someone who is teetering precariously on the edge of being part of Generation Y I often wonder where they get their confidence from! I attribute it to the fact that with the advancement of technology and the daily impact that has had on our lives we are subjected to more and more information that inspires us.
We now have access to millions of success stories via the internet – on you tube, myspace, facebook and the endless amounts of blogs gathered from around the world. And with this comes the general Generation Y attitude of “if they can do it, so can I”! What a positive way to live! “Aim for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land among the stars"
In the local area there seems to be a bevy of young crew that are making huge waves in the arts and music scene at the moment. DJs, musicians, artists and promoters are coming out of the woodwork to provide us with some killer nights of entertainment. And I say HOORAY! The more culture we can expose the Gold Coast to the better!
