We first learnt about the prolific and amazing talents of French artist JR when we fell upon images of his poster work in the Rio Favelas. Those images captured space and sentiment and moulded them up into a big aesthetic cookie-doh ball. We then found his work from Kenya, South-Sudan, Sierra Leone and Liberia,
Women Are Heroes. The film was made in collaboration with Médecins Sans Frontièrs and was meant “to underline their pivotal role and to highlight their dignity by shooting them in their daily lives and posting them on the walls of their country.”
