Good Day Sir!

Good Day Sir!

It was probably the middle of last month when I was reading Old School by Tobias Wolff that I became interested in the idea of  tweed. A dapper gentleman replete with umbrella and fedora cannot be topped for sartorial style in the western world. The only pity is that he looks like an utter knob.

However we figure that's kind of the point of English gentleman's magazine The Chap. Fresh out of the 1920s the world of fashion has once again revolved and now the pheasant-hunting rifle is again pointed squarely at bad taste but good tailoring. The Chap isn't such a joke, though we kind of wish it were, there are many gentlemen from the motherland donning cycling capes and all manner of tweed in their daily habits. Just recently hundreds of cyclists took over London's city streets dressed in dapper-wear, dinging bells and assailing sidewalk gawkers with cheerful cajoling and the odd shout of "tally ho!" Such an event as this demonstrates the utter difference between a knob and a wanker and at least, as a Chap, you look impeccable!

Get the look (you know you want to) from The Chap Shop, where various gentlemanly indulgences such as old school razors and shaving brushes, sock suspenders and brogues will transform your lacklustre appearance into that of a true wit!!
