In 1981 Kikuo Ibe dropped his watch and broke it. Apparently he really loved this watch, so much so that he was inspired to prevent this awful event ever happening again. He created "Project Team Tough" which besides having an AWESOME name, spent a couple years throwing watches out of windows until they invented the DW-5000, the first G-Shock.

Now celebrating its 25th year of invincibility, Ibe and his G-Shock are on the “Shock The World Tour 2009”. A blend of sports, music, art and fashion in the form of events and parties the tour will go to 12 countries and feature some of Asia's coolest cats.
