I don't know what happened to the movies in Poland, but I like it. I've read somewhere that Polish movie posters are pop-art's greatest kept secret, and I'm inclined to agree - they're totally original, often only nominally tied into the film they're supposed to represent, and also often crazy like a bag of centipedes. Check out a few below (L) next to their US equivalents (R) and just try telling me that you don't wish you saw all your movies in Poland. Except with English subtitles. Unless you're Polish.

Rosemary's Baby.

Willow (can anyone explain to me how the Polish version relates to the movie?).

Weekend at Bernie's.

The Fly (the Polish version looks a lot funner).

Trainspotting.

Apocalypse Now (film nerd comment: I realise that's the Redux poster on the right, don't nerd attack me).

Gremlins.

Alien.

Crocodile Dundee II.

Mulholland Drive.

The Big Lebowski.
