As a combo, it's up there among ham, cheese and tomato. A pop up custom sneaker art show blending art, sneaker culture and live music.

Eleven local artists ranging from tattooists to graphic artists were each given a pair of plain white canvas or leather sneakers and set loose to paint, dye, draw, carve, or whatever else they can think of, with no restrictions. 

The result? The ultimate in One Offs.

Sneaker Freakers unite at Neverland Bar Coolangatta, from 8pm Dec 5. Music by DJ Nighthawk and 'a very, very special guest band'.
