Ever wanted to take crazy closeup shots of cool random stuff in your day to day existance, but keep getting blurry bollocks because you left your high-end digital imaging system at home and all you have is the crappy camera on your consumer whore of a phone?
Well just when you thought there wasn't much else you could do to your mofo of a blinged-out techno texting toy, along came those crazy kids at DIYPhotography.net and showed you that you were wickety-WACK.
All you need is a bit of patience, a bit of skill, and a potential electrical shock deathwish.
What you'll need:
What to do:
1. Bust open your DVD Player
This is the main point of the exercise, because without this you don't got nuthin' fool!
First thing is to get a lens for your camera phone. Make sure your old DVD player is not connected to a live power source - ie. unplug it you idiot. Take out the screws and tinker around the area where the machine reads the disc. You should find the lens buried in there, like a tiny little HAL eye watching you and plotting your quiet and painful demise. Attempt to gently pry it out.

2. Make A Lens Mount
Technically you don't really need a lens mount, you can use duct tape to secure the DVD lens directly to the camera or you can attach it by mounting it on some thin cardboard. Cut a small hole in the centre of the card and push or glue it in so it fits securely.

3. Attach Your Lens
Cut some small strips of tape or peel off a few tabs of blu tack and use them to mount the lens or card directly onto your phone's camera lens. Make sure the DVD lens fits close and as centred as possible over the lens on your phone.

4. Start Snapping!
Macro photos, by their very nature, are all about the details. So get up close and personal and get your Mac-Attack on!

Now THAT'S what I call mobile technology!
