"Progress" by Shepard Fairey
Although we can rest easy after Barack Obama was confirmed President Elect of the United States last Wednesday (Tuesday US time), we have only just now found this downloadable poster by artist Shepard Fairey and had to share it with you guys. It was Fairey's works that originally lead us to uncover the mountains of Obama fan art out there. In case you missed the story, Shepard Fairey did up a couple of posters titled "Hope" and "Progress" in support of, the now president elect, Barry Obama. Fairey created a special PDF file based on his "Progress" poster, a black and white DIY paste up measured for a standard A4 page. Download it here and gets to decorating it yourself.
 
 
We've already found someone putting it to good use in Adelaide. UniSA's Entropy Magazine recently did a feature on the major players in the American Election and artist Yohannes Handoko painted his Fairey PDF a nice shade of blue. Although there was no credit given to Shepard Fairey I'm sure the editors took it for granted that everyone would know it was Obey Giant's work. Now we want you to do up some custom versions of Fairey's "Progress" poster too and we'll reward you with something awesome.
