It is official: Milf is out… Cougar is in

Is it just me or is cougar the new IT word?  As a gal in my late twenties it is even being used in reference to my group of friends… maybe because there are so many of them “seeing” 21 year olds??!!

I am a little confused by the theory of dating a younger guy to feel younger yourself.  I would have assumed dying your grey hair while your toy boy was studying for his mid-terms would be more stressful and damaging for one’s confidence than anything else.  However, I am seeing that these younger guys are certainly reintroducing these women to their child like states by providing truly fun times.

It must be noted that while travelling up the “stair way to heaven” you must tread carefully in order to ensure that you don’t come tumbling down.  The fun times simply can not continue if you both take different paths. 

What the hell am I talking about?  The downside of dating a younger guy!  Generally they are in it for a bit of fun, while an older woman is often looking for commitment with a fairytale ending.  Make sure to lay down the ground rules from the get go… and for god sake, try to stick to it.  If your feelings change, talk about! [says the master of relationships HA]

As the word becomes more common place is the concept of a cougar finally being embraced?  There have been rumours about a cougar cruise arriving in Brisbane in the next couple of months and I know quite a few 20 year old guys that are excited.  Even though I am completely stunned at this I guess I just answered my own question…
