Club Bamboo Opening Night

This certainly was an interesting night out - the opening night of Club Bamboo, the GC's newest Hip Hop and RnB club. The place was packed with peeps, pulling out all kinds of Beyonce/Usher/Snoop inspired moves.

Then bedlam, as U.S. Hip Hop artist Lloyd made his way to the stage, flanked by security guards. Girls were screaming, cameras being held up in the air, and everyone was pushing forward trying to get as close as possible.

It was easy to be star-struck, that is until I met a particular girl while sitting outside later on.

She was celebrating her 21st birthday and was lucky enough to meet her idol. The first thing he said to her was, "Show me your ass'. To which she replied, "Nuh uh, you ain't no Jay Z, you ain't no P Diddy" and promptly bounced back onto the dance floor.

She'd had a great night though and thought the exchange was hilarious. The funny thing is his full name is Lloyd Polite Jnr.

Polite? Hmmmm....
