Barack Obama's inauguration has been a long time coming. The fact that he wasn't immediately announced as President upon his election last year seems to have caused as much confusion as the fact that he had to fight an election to get elected (the Primaries). Confusion over, Barack was sworn in at about 3AM Australian Central Time this morning, bringing to an end George W. Bush's eight years in office.

While many people are breathing a sigh of relief across those United States, there is a team, albeit a small one, that will be sad to see dubya push off. This team are the staff writers for The Late Show with David Letterman. While you may or may not be aware of the show's segment "Great Moments in Presidential Speeches" we ask you to spare a thought for a few good men and women at NBC who have just lost a dear colleague in George W. Bush.
