CD | Harmonic 313 | WHEN MACHINES EXCEED HUMAN INTELLIGENCE

As soon as I saw the Warp label on this album, I knew I was going to love it.
Yep, one massive electro nerd front and centre. But for a label that has been a pioneer in electronic music and discovered some of the most significant electro acts of our generation, each new release has a lot to live up to. Luckily Harmonic 313 can stand up to his label mates Squarepusher, Aphex Twin and Pivot.

When Machines Exceed Human Intelligence pushes the boundaries between machine and music without ever losing the plot. The more challenging tracks such as ‘Word Problems’ may seem difficult to bare at first, but they allow Harmonic 313 to find his way in more accessible dance tracks like ‘Cyclotron’.

With strong influences from Detroit’s dance pioneers and with sweeping bass lines and elements of jungle, broken beat and house, its no wonder Harmonic 313 can claim Daft Punk amongst his prominent fans. - Red Paint
