This little mixtape gem comes from DJ Bets in Adelaide. Although not in wide release, this album is worth hunting down. True to its name, Droppin Science boasts a 40-track education in “all-time classic” Hip Hop. And just like the genre, Bets takes to hippin’ and a hoppin’ between the East and West coast varietals of America’s fine Hip Hop regions.

The late 80s and early 90s were a good vintage too. This mixtape brings back some of the big names that many new generation listeners may have written off. LL Cool J and Tone Loc are featured amongst other stalwarts such as KRS ONE, EPMD and RUN DMC. But Bets ain’t just a name dropper. Droppin Science digs up some rare samplings to excite the interest of even the most casual Hip Hop fan.
